Wonder What’s On Her Rider?

Date March 12, 2009

Politics is known as showbiz for ugly people. The metaphor runs pretty darned deep. Nancy Pelosi, for instance, is the Axl Rose of her little community, throwing a tantrum and refusing to go onstage when she doesn’t get to use taxpayer funded transportation or doesn’t get her fresh bag of white tube socks.

Three months ago, turmoil erupted over Queen Nancy’s demand for the military to reposition her plane to fly out of Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, Calif., closer to where she had “business,” instead of San Francisco Airport/SFO (1.5 hours away). A special air missions official wrote: “We have never done this in the past. The deal is…that the Speaker shuttle is from DC to SFO and back. We will not reposition. We do not reposition for convenience even for the SECDEF. It is not [too] far of a drive from Travis to SFO. Did the escort suggest to the Speaker that this is ok? If so, I hope you guys correct them immediately. If you agree with me that I am correct, then you need to stay strong and present the facts to the Speaker’s office.”

Another official stated bluntly: “We can’t reposition the airplane such a short distance. It is not a judicial use of the asset. It is too expensive to operate the jet when there is truly no need to do so…”

In the end, the military won that battle. But a few days later, Pelosi was back with a new demand: that her military plane taking her from DC to San Francisco make a stop in New Jersey to bring her and three Democrats to an “innovation Forum” at Princeton University involving 21 participants and no audience. A Gulfstream jet was secured for the important “official business.”

The best part of this story is not that Nancy Pelosi is a whiny twit with diva tendencies rivaling that of the drag queen who plays Diana Ross at the local Kit Kat Club, but that ABC News and others are bending over backward to whitewash the story, as though there’s not a single person in the greater continental United States who doesn’t immediately believe that story upon submission. I can even picture her eyes bugging out of her head like when those cartoon wolves got hit in the gut with a fifty pound anvil. I can see her neck bulging out, veins popping out, little indentations happening where her pearls used to be before they were absorbed into her ever expanding torso. Too easy.

But yet, ABC News saw fit to make sure you’re not too convinced.

The treasure trove of documents obtained by Judicial Watch from the Department of Defense regarding Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s use of military aircraft doesn’t seem to prove the organization’s allegation that Pelosi has made unprecedented demands for flights.

Okay, maybe they aren’t “unprecedented,” but proving an adjective was used incorrectly doesn’t go far to proving that Nancy Pelosi doesn’t act like a holy terror when she doesn’t get her way. In fact, all it does is reinforce the idea that Nancy does this, well, a lot. If its not unprecedented, it means its taken place before. Something tells me that, although other politicians might use taxpayer funded transportation to get back and forth to their districts, not all of them make demands and throw temper tantrums. Actually, if you think about it, if they consider her behavior not unprecedented, that could be interpreted to mean that Nancy is just an ass about these things all the time.

And, yet again, its believable.

Since E.M. was too polite to say it, allow me to translate: Pelosi’s a cast-iron bitch.

It’s less than two hours by limo from NYC to Princeton.

The good news is that Nancy is beginning to believe that her power is absolute, which means that she will do something that will bring her down soon.

Wonder if there’s a treasure trove of documents somewhere that doesn’t seem to prove the MSM has made unprecedented attempts to stick their heads up the Democrats’ collective ass?
