The Ron Paul Blimp has flown its last flight.

We will be keeping the banners in hopes of flying the blimp for “round 2” in a few months. If you would like to sponsor the blimp we would still appreciate it as we still have a balance due to Airship Management Services.

WHY DOESN’T ANYONE LOVE RON PAUL? WHY DON’T YOU PAY FOR HIS BLIMP?!?

*Sob!*

Now, you should notice that they intend on paying off their debt and flying the blimp for “round two” in a “few months.” As the primaries are over by March, and Paul has — lets be honest here — a minuscule chance of snagging the nomination, that can only mean that there are other nefarious plans afoot. Look out, Ralph Nader, it looks as though the blimp is either plotting a third party run or a bloodless coup.

Though, of course, they have to pay their debt to the blimp guy first, which kind of begs the question as to who would be stupid enough to lend a blimp without adequate collateral to ensure its return? It boggles the mind. Boggles it, we tell you. Technically speaking, if the Paulians had just stolen the blimp and used it to conduct surveillance on, say, their arch nemesis John Paul Stevens, they would have ended up in the same boat as now.

Fear not, though. Our greatest hope is that the glorious dirigible will return. Until then, though, enjoy a moving tribute in photoshop.

Goodbye, old friend.

    Couple of thoughts…

Good for them for paying off the thing off. Responsible, if nothing else.

But who has a blimp to lease? I mean, is there a market for blimps? Because, I’d totally buy one.

And yes, unless something changes between now and Tuesday, I’ll be voting for Ron Paul.

I have a delightful mental image of Ron Paul warring with John Paul Stevens now. Hilarious.

The surest sign the economy isn’t all that bad is that people are willing to spend money on Ron Paul.
