We’d Be More Scared If He Showed Up

Date September 17, 2007

Apparently, Barry Manilow is now refusing to go on The View because he believes that Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s personal views are offensive, and he will not share a stage with her. We’re inclined to believe that Elizabeth has had a stroke of luck, in that she will be spared Barry’s dulcet tones for her tenure on the chat fest.

On the other hand, when Rosie was chairing the mess, celebrity guests were few and far between–its only since she disappeared that The View has managed anything near a guest list, so perhaps having one vocal avoider as opposed to numerous shamed silent ones is an improvement?

Could there be a “celebrity” more obscure and irrelevant than Barry Manilow? Why would _The View_ even want him?

It’s nice to see that he gave $2,300 to Ron Paul. Maybe he had him confused with Dennis Kucinich.

    regards,

Anything or anyone that keeps Barry Manilow off my television is on my good side.
