The Petraeus Report

Not as though this isn’t being covered by every other major and minor news outlet on the entire freaking planet, but Gen. Petraeus is on the Hill today reporting on progress from The Surge. Without going into eye-clawingly boring detail, the gist is that The Surge is working, it will continue to work if Democrats continue to shy away from doing anything particularly idiotic, by this time next year we will reduce troop levels, and by this time next month The Surge will, generally, be over.
True to form, the Democrats began the meeting with criticism, but relied on the truly evil to do all of the heavy lifting; MoveOn and Code Pink have graciously agreed to call Petraeus treasonous while Harry Reid hides behind colored verbiage which does not fully distance himself from the melee, but fails to exactly connect him to the more soul-crushingly banal bumper-sticker statements.
Speaking of soul-crushingly banal, Code Pink also decided to bring out its Tranny Wing for purposes of disruption (how, exactly do these people get past security?), and to prove, yet again, that either the progressive movement is made up entirely of arch-conservative plants determined to exploit an already hilarious premise, or that we should just disband the public school system entirely.
Someone clearly arranges these train wrecks, though, in all earnestness. Its not as though these women were just hiking by wearing boas. Someone had to let them in and it’d be interesting to find out who it was. Incidentally, Cindy Sheehan was also escorted out, but as she had some unfortunate scheduling conflict, she was relegated to the second class, arrested outside.
UPDATE: Per Allah, gawd we hope this is true.

I wouldn’t assume that those two were members of the Tranny Brigade. Code Pink has actual women who look like that.
You right - the real question is how they got into the hearing room.
Poor Cindy. The Code Pink crazies get air time but she doesn’t. That’s so unfair. Pelosi is obviously trying muzzle her to undermine her Senate run.

I think the Skelton thing is correct. I didn’t hear it clearly, but he was pissed. As for me, I just laughed, because it was funny to see them blatantly ignore his warnings to sit down and shut up.
In reality, I understand their point, but interrupting every hearing with their protests is watering down whatever they are trying to accomplish, it is counterproductive, and it isn’t helping the cause they say they are serving.

If a few women retire from/leave Code Pink and decide to expose the group’s shadowy supporters, would their group be called Code Pink Veterans for Truth?
